Error " Microsoft Exchange Sending reported error 0x80040115"

Everone on our domain is receving error message 0x80040115 when trying to connect to the Exchange Server using Outlook 2013. We are able to to get email via the website. This was working fine for the past few months then one day everyone got this message.  I have checked to see if an update was installed near the time of the failure but there were none. What else could cause this problem and what needs to be done to correct it?

That was meant un on the clients...forgot to mention that.

I have seen the below posted as a solution, but a client DNS flush resolved this for me.

1.In Control Panel, open the Mail item.

2.Click Show Profiles.

3.Select your profile, and then click Properties.

4.Click E-mail Accounts.

5.Select the Microsoft Exchange Server account, and then click Change.

6.In the dialog box that contains your mailbox server and user name, click More Settings.

7.In the Microsoft Exchange dialog box, click the Security tab.

8.Click to select the Encrypt data between Microsoft Office Outlook and Microsoft Exchange check box, and then click OK.

Hi,

The error 0x80040115 generally indicates MAPI_E_NETWORK_ERROR. Please try Peters suggestion to check the Outlook settings in client side.

In Exchange side, please check the OAB file in Exchange server. If you are using Exchange 2013, please restart the following services to have a try:

Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Assistants service

Additionally, please check whether there is any error message in Event Viewer of Exchange 2013. Please collect some event for further analysis.

Regards,
